The booking platforms decide how prominently your hotel appears partly on the quality and quantity of your photos. Each extranet publishes its own guidelines and updates them regularly, so treat this article as a practical summary at the time of writing and check the extranet for the exact current numbers. Our hotel photography is delivered in the sizes and formats the platforms ask for.

What gets photos rejected or ranked lower
- Text, logos, watermarks, phone numbers or borders on the image.
- Collages and split images.
- Heavy HDR, oversaturation or visibly distorted wide-angle shots.
- People whose faces are recognisable without consent, or staff posing.
- Photos of other properties, stock images or renderings not marked as such.
- Duplicate photos of the same room, tiny images and screenshots.
Room-category tagging
Every room category should have its own photos tagged to that category in the extranet: bed, bathroom, view and at least one detail. Guests filter by room type, and a category without photos converts poorly. We deliver galleries sorted by category so your revenue manager can upload them in minutes.
Beyond the requirements: what actually sells
Requirements are the minimum. The photos that convert show natural light, a made bed with clean lines, the view from the window, breakfast, the bar at golden hour and the exterior at dusk. Use our hotel photography checklist to prepare, and consider a 3D tour for the public areas, which several platforms now display.
Häufig gestellte Fragen
How many photos does a hotel really need?
Twenty-five is the usual threshold for completeness; well-performing Prague hotels have 40 to 80, covering every category and public area.
Can I use the same photos on Booking.com, Expedia and my website?
Yes. Our licence covers all platforms. We provide web-ready sizes for each and full-resolution files for print.
Do I need to update photos after a renovation?
Yes, immediately. Photos that no longer match the room lead to complaints and lower review scores.
